Some misconceptions of valentine’s day

this is a repost. sort of.

one more misconception about valentines day, its not the day to try to get a girlfriend or reveal your feelings for someone. its a day to go out with someone you’re already in a relationship with. not a day to begin a new one. don’t get caught up in the media hype. why is this so, you ask?

wrong label and lack of sleep

found this on one of my old secret blog… decided to repost it here.

Was on my way to school this afternoon when I saw this poster at a bus stop. The post shows a man and a little girl. The man was pointing far into the distance. The caption read:”Say no. He could be a molester.”

You know, what’s scarier is not the man being a molester but a paedophile. I mean… a little girl? A man who’s a stranger? I’m not worried about the man being a molester because a molester *molests* males/females from ages teens and up. But for the guy to ‘molest’ a child, I think the label ‘molester’ is not enough.

Okay. I actually have no idea where I’m going with this train of thought. My apologies. Lack of sleep. And speaking of lack of sleep… I made this mistake last night while working on my maths tutorial:

Correct answer:
2 + sec x + k
My answer:
2 + sex + k

Told ya I lack sleep…

what is love?

a repost. initially wrote this on the 28th of april, 2004. when my previous blog crashed, i sorta lost all the stuffs. here’s just one of the few poems i’ve managed to save. enjoy.

love is a weird thing.
it is pure emotion.
it cannot be measured, cannot be loaned
and it cannot be stolen.
love is given, willingly by one
albeit, unknowing, of the consequences.

love carries the seeds of destruction,
envy, hate and hunger.
if not checked,
love has the potential to change
from a selfless love into a love so selfish and spiteful
it is no different from hate

love is full of spite, full of hurts

yet love heals and love rebuilds
it is a contradiction
love is not blind, yet because it sees past flaws
it exposes one to unknown perils

love. for what it is, i’d give my life
love. for what it promises, i’d give my soul
love. for what it brings, i’m willing to kill…
am i crazy? or am i in love?
are you insane? or are you held captive by love?
